Catholic Action (Azzjoni Kattolika)
|

|
The Catholic Action (Azzjoni Kattolika) is a group within the universal Roman Catholic church. It was set up in Rome in 2nd October 1923 and sub-branches of this group were set up in many countries including Malta. The Catholic Action in Gozo started functioning in December 1931. The aim of this group is to have the lay people participate in the apostolate work of the church and various and to help in various other activities. All this is done in cooperation and under the authority of the Church. The Catholic Action was introduced in Sannat by the Archpriest Joseph Cassar in 1923. Today this group in our parish has a branch for males as well as a group for females. |

MUSEUM

|
The MUSEUM was set up by Saint Geroge Preca in 1907, and its aim is to train Cathecists which would then dedicate their lives to teaching cathecism to the local children and youth. The Sannat branch of the MUSEUM started on the 20th April, 1952. Today it includes cathecism classes for boys, and also for adults. |

Legion of Mary

|
The Legion of Mary was set up in Dublin, Ireland on the 7th September, 1921. This group was introduced to our parish on 2nd March 1958. |
|
|
Prayer Group for Local Men
|
|
|
This prayer group meets every month in front of the Eucharist and its gatherings consist of readings from the Scripture, reflections, prayers and hymns. It was set up on the 21st November 1997, and in the year 2000 it was named as "The Group on the Contemplation of the Face of Christ". A large number of men attend regularly for these meetings. |

Sannat Drama Group

|
The Sannat Drama Group was originally set up in 1937. However eventually it ceased to be active. It was re-born in 1976 when a group was selected to rekindle this group. This group promotes the talents of local youth, children and adults in the field of drama and musicals. It also participates in the Carnival activites. This group is a sub-branch of the Parish Centre. |

Sannat Parish Centre
|
|
|
The parish centre is a place which offers spiritual as well as social formation to local youths. It is also a place of recreation where one can find various indoor games. |
|
|
Choir -- Ulied Margerita
|
|
|
The choir Ulied Margerita (meaning the siblings of St Margaret) was set up in our parish in 1950, and it was led by the Domenican Nuns who had a monastery in our parish. This choir always remained active and and it participates regularly in ceremonies and functions held in our parish, as well as in other parishes. It also participates in festivals which are organised by the diocese. |
