Stabat Mater Concert held at St Margaret Church in Sannat
Thursday, the 13th of March, the Stabat Mater concert was held in the parish church of St Margaret in Sannat. This concert was held in conjunction with the feast of Our Lady Of Sorrows.
The Local band, the St Margaret Society Band, which was founded in 1997, was conducted by Mro. Joseph Debrincat. The local choir, Ulied Santa Margerita, was led by Soprano Georgina Gauci who also is the director of the choir and participated in the concert.
The compere was Karen Curmi, special thanks went to Mons L. Xiberras, who accompanied the choir by playing the organ and produced some of the lyrics, and also Father Anton Mizzi for his recital entitled Dmugh (tears). It was certainly deemed a pleasant evening by all that attended and many thanks were extended to the Archpriest, Can Tarcisio Camilleri. |
